So what does that mean to me?
It means drift-free data measurements - from devices that can withstand the rigors of harsh industrial environments.
What's your range of measurement devices?
Accutech offers temperature, pressure, differential and absolute pressure measurement devices as well as signal conditioners.
What is Absolute Accuracy?
In the instrumentation community, "Accuracy" is defined as merely the sum of a measurement's repeatability, linearity and hysteresis compared to two nominal measurement points that constitute the end of the measurement range. It is assumed that there is no error in these end points. Under this definition, "Accuracy" looks much better than it really is. To distinguish between the term "Accuracy" as defined by the measurement community and "Accuracy" as defined by the total measurement error, the term "Absolute Accuracy" was coined. "Absolute Accuracy" is the total measurement error from a known point and includes the measurement uncertainty associated with the measurement of the known point. It's the total difference between the measurement and the actual value.
What is meant by "Cost of Ownership"?
The "Cost of Ownership" includes the cost of buying a product, installing it and the cost of the measurement errors that would arise from using it. The cost associated with measurement errors can often be overlooked in a purchase decision. Defining "Cost of Ownership" is an attempt to quantify these costs along with the purchase and installation costs.
What is HART communications?
"HART" stands for Highway Addressable Remote Transducer. This is a low-speed digital communications protocol that operates at the same time as the primary analog output. HART communications is primarily intended for transmitter setup and occasional transmission of secondary process data, while the main process information, or "Primary Variable" is carried on the more rapid analog output.
