ACCUTECH / ADAPTIVE INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION COMPLETES MANUFACTURING LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH HONEYWELL INDUSTRIAL MEASUREMENT & CONTROL
Hudson, MA – June 2007 – Accutech/Adaptive Instruments, the market leader for design and manufacture of tether-free Wireless Smart Process Instrumentation systems has extended its Private Label supply relationship with Honeywell Industrial Measurement and Controls and the two companies have entered into a limited manufacturing license agreement. The agreement includes provisions to transfer certain design and manufacturing know how from Adaptive Instruments to Honeywell and also includes joint development provisions to incorporate additional Honeywell sensors into Accutech’s Wireless Instrumentation product line. The agreement was completed in May of 2007 and it is expected that Honeywell will begin manufacture of XYR 5000 instruments in Port Washington Pennsylvania before the end of the year.
The agreement is mutually advantageous to both companies. Honeywell will gain greater control over supply of their XYR series of products and Adaptive Instruments will free up manufacturing capacity and working capital to support growth of the Accutech Wireless Instrumentation products. The new sensor products are expected to be commercially available in the third quarter of 2007.
