Accutech, a division of Adaptive Instruments, today announces the launch of their next generation industrial wireless platform. First details will be made available at the ISA Expo in Chicago October 25th, 2005. Additional details will be made available throughout the coming weeks and will be posted on the Accutech website.
"Our goal in developing the advancements for this version was to provide our customers and prospects with the latest technological innovations in wireless instrumentation by offering greater security, faster response, and OPC compatibility" said Paul Neilson, CTO of Accutech.
Advancements include an increased battery life that boasts a 20 year shelf life, enhanced connectivity with OPC as a standard interface, increased coverage that now supports up to 100 Field Units per base radio and over 100 base radios in overlapping zones, improved security with the new AccuWire data protection, and backwards compatibility with existing installations. Additional advancements that will become available shortly include a hand held configuration/diagnostic tool, and a fully redundant system, where multiple base radios are listening to all field radios for bump-less redundancy.
With greater power, faster response, increased security and improved capabilities, Accutech's next generation industrial wireless platform will provide users with a more robust and capable next generation offering. The added functionality in the new version will seamlessly integrate into legacy systems and the OPC server offers compatibility with almost all other systems.
