Gene Yon | President
Gene Yon is the President of Adaptive Instruments/Accutech and has a long history in the instrumentation industry. With an undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology, Gene became a professor at Case-Western Reserve. He left higher education after 9 years to become a partner at Booz Allen Hamilton where he launched the firm's Electronics Technology Practice and was responsible for growing the customer base to include over 70% of the 500 largest global electronics based firms. He left Booz Allen as the Global Electronics Practice leader to join Combustion Engineering as President of the Engineered Systems and Controls Sector where he led the growth of the Sector to over $750MM. Upon the acquisition of Combustion Engineering by ABB, Gene joined Bailey Controls as Executive Vice President, advancing to President before becoming Group Vice President of the Americas for the parent company, Elsag Bailey Process Automation NV. He led the firm through a successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to joining Accutech, Gene was the Group Vice President of Technology, Quality and Business Development for the Intelligent Automation Division of Invensys, plc. Since his arrival, Gene has been coordinating company-wide implementation of all technological advancements and business strategies for helping Accutech build its long term business.
Paul Neilson | Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder
Paul Neilson, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Adaptive Instruments/Accutech, is responsible for the research and development initiatives at the company. Paul has been instrumental in providing the long term vision which has led to Adaptive/Accutech's innovative Industrial Wireless platform.
He received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Denver and holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Math from the University of Lowell. Paul has spent his entire career focused on pioneering the development of various highly successful precision measurement devices in the fields of ultrasonic measurement, highly precise micropower temperature measurement devices and intelligent valve positioners. His contributions to the instrumentation field extend beyond the domain of research and development and reach the manufacturing floor in areas such as automated calibration techniques which are at the base of the core competency critical to the success of Adaptive/Accutech.
Clifford Lewis | Vice President of Operations & Co-Founder
Clifford Lewis is the Vice President of Sales and also Co-Founder of Adaptive/Accutech. In addition to his many sales responsibilities, Cliff spends a great deal of time on the speaking circuit and writing technical articles for publication. He is an honors graduate from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and specialization in process instrumentation. He also holds an MBA from Dartmouth College's Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. Before joining Accutech, Cliff worked as an Instrumentation Engineer for Celanese Fibers Co., as Manager of New Ventures for Masonite Corp, and as Director of Marketing and Sales at General Eastern Instrumentation Corp.
Cliff, has been the driving force at Adaptive/Accutech in pursuing new Industrial Wireless applications and providing critical hands-on support to our Sales Channel.
